Well basically, this site is being closed, NOT  deleted, I’m busy with school, I mean seriously busy, if you didn’t know I’m 14, so I need to work hard now, to try and get good grades in GCSE’s when they come around, I actually havn’t even had time to think about posting.

So yeah. Authors please don’t post, and btw, I quit Webo.

Weekly Dino Fact-Granny Sauropod

Granny Yizhousaurus

Seems like all of the good dinosaur discoveries have been coming out of China recently doesn’t it? Well here’s another very cool one, this time it’s the “grandmother” of all Sauropods! Her name is Yizhousaurus sunae and this old lady is roughly 200 million years old. Researchers are particularly excited because the skull is completely intact and researchers were able to uncover the full fossilized skeleton. Sauropods were big, heavy creatures with strongly constructed bones, but they had tiny little heads and relatively weak skulls. That is why researchers are so excited that Granny was able to keep her skull intact for 200 million years, she’s the first complete skeleton of a sauropod ever found!

What’s even more exciting is that Granny Yizhousaurus connects older, smaller Sauropods found in China to younger, bigger ones. Researchers have long been hoping to find a connection between the two and finally Granny has come along to “bridge the gap,” her skeleton was found near where skeletons of prosauropods (precursors to sauropods) were previously found. Granny does for Sauropods what Lucy did to shape the human evolutionary tree. What do you think about Granny Yizhousaurus? Busy Busy TDR!

Hey guys! It’s me, Thisduderock. I am here to tell you I can no longer go onto Webosaus or this blog for a long period of time due to the facts of making my fat book called ‘The Quest For The Golden Scroll’. It’s going to have around 200 pages or so and it’ll be released by next year. If I finish the book without going on here much, I can get it done as early as I can. I am orgenising an event and there will be tons and tons of people coming. And it’s this December! Check the forum for more details about the party. Blog Entry Contest – WINNERS!

Congrats to everyone that entered our Blog Entry Contest! I am the real winner because I got the opportunity to read so many amazing entries! I knew that we had some seriously talented bloggers out there on Webosaurs Island, but I had no idea just how talented you all were! The poetry was the biggest and best surprise for me, in allowing so much literary freedom I expected to see a lot of blog entries and stories, but I never imagined to read so much great poetry. It was just all very well written and everyone should be very proud of themselves!

With that being said, allow me to announce the winners!! Well you probably already know if you’ve been following the polls, but the winners are JohnnyNitro for his poem and Sludge for his blog entry.
